This dhol is a large, barrel-shaped, double-headed drum widely used in Punjabi folk (Bhangra) and other North Indian music. Handcrafted from seasoned hardwood (commonly mango or sheesham), it features robust animal skin drumheads—usually goat skin for treble and buffalo or synthetic for bass—secured with high-quality steel bolts and tuning pegs for precise pitch adjustment. The powerful bass and sharp treble tones make it a favorite for weddings, festivals, and dance events. Ergonomic side handle and carrying strap make it easy to transport and play standing or slung from the shoulders. Each drum comes with two wooden sticks (beater and chanti).
